She said that Mossel Bay Tourism is hoping that accommodation establishments, attractions and adventures, tour operators, sports and cultural groups, industry organisations, and facilities like museums, theatres, and stadiums will sign up to exhibit on the second day of the festival.

“At the moment, the programme is set to include a day of discussions and presentations, a day of desk-top exhibitions, and a day of outings, visits and excursions.

“The exhibitions will take place in the Dias Museum Complex – which will be divided into zones according to sectors - and each exhibitor will be provided with a table and space to erect a banner or two.”

Holm said that Alan Winde, the MEC for tourism in the Western Cape, will present his twice-yearly plenary session in Mossel Bay on the 18th, and that almost all the regional and local destination marketing organisations will be in town for the event – and that most of them have indicated that they’ll be staying over to experience the Festival, and to learn what Mossel Bay has to offer.

A number of hosted buyers – representing the larger travel agencies and tour operators in Cape Town – and some members of the media will also be in Mossel Bay for the weekend.
